البحث في مضمونه يحتوى على مرويات أبى حاتم السجستاني (ت 255ه) في المحكم لابن سيده ، وتصنيف هذه المرويات حسب مستويات اللغة الأربعة – الصوتي والصرفي والنحوي والدلالي- ودراستها بعرضها على أقوال العلماء، ثم استخلاص النتيجة، وقد جاء البحث في مقدمة، وتمهيد، وأربعة مباحث: الأول: مرويات أبى حاتم في المستوى الصوتي، وفيه مطلبان: المطلب الأول همز ما لا يهمز، والثاني الأبدال الصوتي، والمبحث الثاني مروياته في المستوى الصرفي وفيه أربعة مطالب: الأول: جمع التكسير، الثاني: التذكير والتأنيث، الثالث: جمع فَعْلة صفة على فَعَلات، الرابع: حكم ما كان على فُعْلَى صفة، والمبحث الثالث مروياته في المستوى النحوي وفيه مطلبان: الأول: المخصوص بالنداء، الثاني اسم الفعل، والمبحث الرابع مروياته في المستوى الدلالي وفيه ثلاثة مطالب، الأول: مروياته في بيان معانى المفردات، الثاني: مروياته في بيان المعرَّب، الثالث: مروياته في تعليل التسمية، ثم الخاتمة وفيها أهم النتائج ، ثم فهرس للمراجع.
Abstract: The research in its content contains the narrations of Abu Hatim Al-Sijistani (died. 255 AH) in Ibn Sida's Al-Muhakam, and the classification of these narrations according to the four levels of language - phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic - and their study by presenting them to the opinions of scholars, then extracting the result. The research came in an introduction, a preface, and four chapters: the first: Abu Hatim's narrations in the phonological level, and it includes two sections: the first section is the hamzah of what is not hamzah, and the second is the phonological replacement. The second chapter is his narrations in the morphological level, and it includes four sections: the first is the collective of breaking, the second is the masculine and feminine, the third is the collective of FA'LAH as a description of FA'LAt, and the fourth is the rule of what was on FU'LA as a description. The third chapter is his narrations in the syntactic level, and it includes two sections: the first is the specific for calling, and the second is the verb name. The fourth chapter is his narrations in the semantic level, and it includes three sections: the first is his narrations in explaining the meanings of words, the second is his narrations in explaining the ma'rab, and the third is his narrations in explaining the naming. Then the conclusion, in which the most important results are presented, followed by an index of references.
