يهدف هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على بيان المطلق والمقيد، فإن لهما أهمية قصوى في معرفة المراد من الأحكام وبيان الإطلاق والتقييد في النصوص ما هو إلا مصلحة تعود على العباد، فمن القواعد الأصولية: إعمال المطلق ما لم يرد ما يقيده، فإذا قيد بقيد انتفى عنه الإطلاق وصار مقيدا، ووقف البحث على ما يتعلق بالمطلق والمقيد من مسائل وما ينبني عليهما من أحكام، كما وقف البحث على أقسام المطلق والمقيد، وحمل المطلق على المقيد.
