      يحاول هذا البحث دراسة ظاهرة التضمين العروضي في شعر کعب بن زهير دراسة نقدية حيث يشکل التضمين العروضي في شعر کعب ظاهرة مهمة لکثرة حضورها وتکرارها، وهي ظاهرة لها أبعادها في سياقها، فهي لا تنفصل عن نسيج النص الشعري، بل أراه يزيد في منح النص الشعري قوة وتلاحمًا وتماسکًا، فقد أبرز الشاعر مقدرة فائقة على تجاوز حدود البيت الشعري، وذلک حسبما يقتضي الموقف الذي يتدخل في اختيار أسلوب الشاعر، وهو أسلوب قائم على تحطيم وحدة البيت، وتجاوز ذلک إلى وحدة الأبيات في القصيدة، والتي تؤدي بالتالي إلى وحدة المعنى، والوحدة الفنية التي ينادي بها النقد في العصر الحديث.
      وباستقراء ديوان الشاعر المخضرم کعب بن زهير توصل البحث إلى تعدد أساليب التضمين العروضي في شعر الشاعر، وتنوع دوافعه الفنية والنفسية .
      ومن شواهد التضمين في شعره ما لا يتجاوز البيتين، ومنها ما يتجاوز ذلک إلى أبيات کثيرة، وإن قيمة التضمين تبدو أکثر وضوحًا حينما يأتي التضمين متکررًا في القصيدة نفسها، سواء أکان ذلک في أبيات متلاحقة، أو في مواضع متفرقة من القصيدة نفسها.
      وذلک کله إنما يرجع إلى طبيعة الموقف الذي يتطلب من الشاعر اختيار الأسلوب الذي يراه ملائمًا للتعبير عن نفسه ورؤيته.

It is not separated from the texture of the poetic text, but I see it increases in giving the poetic text strength, cohesion and cohesion, the poet highlighted a superior ability to exceed the limits of the poetic house And, as required by the position that interferes with the choice of the poet's style, a method that is based on breaking down the unity of the home, and exceeding that to the unity of the verses in the poem, which thus leads to the unity of meaning and the artistic unity advocated by criticism in the modern era.
By extrapolating the office of the veteran poet Kaab bin Zuhair, the research concluded the various methods of presentational inclusion in the poet’s poetry, and the diversity of his artistic and psychological motives.
And evidence of the inclusion in his poetry does not exceed the two verses, and some of that exceeds that to many verses, and that the value of the inclusion appears more clear when the inclusion comes in the same poem, whether this is in successive verses, or in separate locations of the poem itself.
All of this is due to the nature of the situation, which requires the poet to choose the method that he deems appropriate to express himself and see him.
